Dagmar Cyrulla Exploring Space 7th - 30th September 2006
Exploring Space is emerging artist Dagmar Cyrulla's most recent body of work, and sees her focus on the human body in a candid series of nude self-portraits. As much an exploration of space as they are a personal investigation into the notion of self, the works have a stirring psychological element. With unwavering honesty Cyrulla allows the viewer to enter a very private, interior world. So sincere are her self-depictions that there is almost a sense of transgression in our interaction with them – challenging the viewer to look at the artist at her most vulnerable and unguarded.
